This is the fourth year that the City of Seattle is hosting the Day of Service, and they have over 100 volunteer events around the city with many open to all ages and abilities.
Volunteer slots are still open, and people can register at seattle.gov/dayofservice
The City has partnered with a diverse group of organizations to help host events this year including Amazon, Molly Moon’s Homemade Ice Cream, Mary’s Place, Byrd Barr Place, Rover, Visit Seattle, Chinatown-International Business Improvement Area, Seattle Hotel Association, White Center Food Bank, Restaurant 2 Garden, Solid Ground, Belltown United, and many more.
The events in West Seattle are filling up, but here’s which ones still have open slots:
- A Cleaner Alki/Schmits Park Creek - Beautification Event
- African Center for Excellence (ACE) - Beautification and Community Support Event
- Trees for Neighborhoods and Dirt Corps - Beautification Event at Webster Pond
- Seattle Public Utilities Stormwater Team - Public Art Event at Webster Pond
- Seattle Parks and Recreation Highland Park - Beautification Event
- Community School of West Seattle - Beautification Event
