Chief Sealth scored a 10th place finish on the girls side and a 15th place finish on the boys side in the state Class 2A cross country team competition Saturday at the Sun Willows Golf Course in Pasco.
Ballard, meanwhile, raced to an 11th place finish in the Class 3A girls ranks.
The Beavers actually had the best score among the trio of local teams with only 270 points.
Chief Sealth had a girls score of 285 and a boys score of 353.
Cassidy Armstrong of Ballard had the top area finish, taking second in the 3A girls race in a time of 17 minutes, 51.10 seconds.
Beavers teammate Ciana Johnson came in eighth in 18:40.80.
The next finisher for the team was a distant 79th by Audrey Hartman in 20:31.50.
Daphne Stevens placed 130th in 21:20.40 and Raya Keller came in 162nd in 22:04.90 just in front of Asha Neely in 22:05.00. Hazel Prentice placed 168th in 22:17.00.
Fredrica Dilley delivered a 12th place finish in 18:57.40 to lead the Chief Sealth girls in 2A and Casey Greger was 98th in 21:55.20.
Elana Phillips came in 112th in 22:17.50 with Doe Doe 123rd in 22:42.80 and Abby Peloza 125th in 22:40.60.
Satomi Diedaman was 144th in 23:30.40 with Elana Latterell 159th in 25:27.70.
Remy Wittman was 33rd for the Seahawks in the boys race in 16:48.00 and Forest Andrews-Wahling 104th in 17:55.60.
Zeke Kraft placed 109th in 17:59.00 and Cole Peloza came in 119th in 18:09.40. Theodore Franzen finished 141st in 18:31.50 with Juan Montenegro 153rd in 19:01.80 and Cian Casey 157th in 20:21.70.
In 4A girls action it was Gemma Caprara of Kennedy Catholic coming in 89th in 20:11.70 with Tibian Fadi of Mount Rainier 99th in 20:22.60 and Kennedy Catholic's Kallan Knapp 113th in 20:40.50.
Roman Pavone took 77th for the Lancer boys in 16:43.80.
Mylah O'Donnell of West Seattle was 121st in the 3A girls race in 21:07.60 and teammate Zacharia O'Keefe was 150th in 17:45.60 in the 3A boys.
Abe Chapman of Seattle Christian took 91st in 1A boys with an 18:15.90 effort and Rhema Henry of the Warriors was 126th among the 1A girls in 23:56.40.
Ali Salim of Evergreen finished 130th in 2A boys in 18:17.40.
