The 2025 All Metro League football awards, announced on November 12, 2025, confirmed the dominant performance of West Seattle High School and highlighted significant achievements from Chief Sealth High School within the Sound Division. West Seattle emerged as the Sound Division powerhouse, sweeping top honors and leading selections across the All-League teams.
West Seattle Sweeps Top Individual and Coaching Awards
The Wildcats secured the league’s most prestigious individual honors, demonstrating excellence on both sides of the ball. Senior quarterback LJ Moody capped off a stellar season by being named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the Sound Division. Joining him was junior Desmond Parkinson, who took home the Offensive MVP award.
West Seattle’s success was further recognized through leadership awards. Head Coach Anthony Stordahl was named Coach of the Year, reflecting the team’s strong overall presence. The Wildcats also saw Assistant Coach Andrew McDonough share the Co-Assistant Coach of the Year title.
In addition to these major awards, key contributors from West Seattle were named to the First Team, including standout performers Jack Freeborne and Miles Guidry.
Chief Sealth Secures Defensive and Special Teams Honors
Chief Sealth High School earned crucial recognition, particularly in specialized roles and defense. Marshawn Tovia-Ford of Chief Sealth earned the Defensive MVP award. Tovia-Ford was also recognized for his versatility, being named a First Team running back.
The Seahawks also celebrated Ogi Petronijevic, a senior, who was recognized as the Special Teams MVP. Their coaching staff was honored as well, with Joseph Espinoza sharing the Co-Assistant Coach of the Year award with West Seattle’s Andrew McDonough.
Chief Sealth contributed strong talent to the All-League First Team selections, notably seeing Shane-Alan Tino and Yakouba Maga recognized on the offensive line. The awards highlight individual excellence and team leadership, as selected by Metro League coaches.
