The new year will mean less caffeine in north Delridge. The Uptown Espresso in that neighborhood is closed as of Jan. 1

The Delridge location of Uptown Espresso is closing forever Jan. 1. Westside Seattle reached out to their management and they've responded with this letter:
It is unfortunate that our Delridge location is closing, and it saddens us deeply. We wanted to inform the community that our Delridge location will be closing effective January 1.
Over the past several years, the building was expected to be purchased by Sound Transit. As often is the case at the last minute, Sound Transit withdrew its offer to purchase the complex. As a result of the anticipated sale, no improvements were made during that time, and the building has since fallen into disrepair. Ultimately, this has made the center less appealing and increasingly challenging for customers to visit.
Because of these circumstances, we have made the difficult decision to close this location. Our team members from Delridge will be relocated to other nearby locations, and we look forward to continuing to serve you there.
We sincerely appreciate your support of the Delridge location over the years and hope to see you soon at our Junction location.
Thank you for your understanding and continued loyalty.
Warm regards,
