Four area wrestlers were crowned as state champions at the Mat Classic held at the Tacoma Dome this past weekend.
Two of the champions were boys and two were girls.
Eli Policarpio of Chief Sealth took the Class 2A boys 215-pound final by a 9-8 decision and Nathaniel Trieu of Kennedy Catholic claimed the 4A boys 113-pound title with a 14-0 win in his final.
Lanu Amituanai of Chief Sealth scored a 4-0 championship victory in her 2A girls final at 145 pounds and Corrie Collins of Highline captured the 3A girls 190-pound title with a 6-3 win.
Lucy Self of Chief Sealth took third place in the 2A girls 140-pound class with a 14-5 win and Highline's Mai Kwee lost her 3A 155-pound third place match, 3-0, to finish fourth.
Yusef Danzo of Chief Sealth lost the 2A boys 285-pound match for fifth place, 11-1, to come in sixth.
