The West Seattle Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Nucor Steel Seattle, is proud to announce the winners of the 2026 Westside Awards. These annual honors recognize the visionary businesses, non-profits, and individuals who define the unique character and spirit of the West Seattle community.
"The Westside Awards are our chance to say thank you out loud," said Rachel Porter, Executive Director of the West Seattle Chamber of Commerce. "Every honoree this year represents something powerful: the idea that local business and community spirit are not separate things. They are the same".
This year's distinguished honorees include:
- Westside Business of the Year: West Seattle Bowl A community staple since 1948, West Seattle Bowl has grown from 14 lanes to 32 while deepening its commitment to philanthropy. This past year, the business expanded its fundraising efforts through programs like Bob’s Bowl-a-Rama for Ronald McDonald House Charities and the Turkey Bowl for the West Seattle Food Bank.
- Westside Emerging Business of the Year: Fourth Emerald Games Founded in 2025 by residents Joshua and Tiara Silas, Fourth Emerald Games was designed as a "third place" for the neighborhood. Featuring a retro video game lounge and inclusive monthly tournaments, the business is built on the belief that games are best when played together.
- Westside Not for Profit of the Year: The Center for Active Living Dedicated to fighting isolation among local adults, the Center significantly expanded its reach in 2025. By partnering with various organizations to provide meals, counseling, and essential services, they have created a vital sense of belonging for their members.
- Westsider of the Year: Jessica Pierce As the founder of West Seattle Junction FC and the Rhodies FC, Pierce has worked to ensure professional soccer remains accessible to everyone. This year, she hosted free youth clinics for over 300 children and partnered with King County to distribute 300 free tickets to every match.
