On Saturday, June 27th, 2026, the quiet woods of West Seattle will transform into a vibrant canvas for the Arts in Nature Festival. This immersive, free event, hosted by the Delridge Neighborhoods Development Association (DNDA), invites visitors to "Dance with Nature" from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the historic Camp Long, located at 5200 35th Ave SW.
The festival is designed to be a sensory journey where art and the environment move in harmony. As you wander the scenic forest trails, you will encounter the many diverse elements that make this event a local treasure:
Live Performances and High-Energy Music
The festival features four intimate stages, including the Main Stage, the Pond Stage, and the Meadow. Throughout the day, these spaces will host:
- Acoustic musicians who honor the natural environment.
- Dynamic dance troupes and movement theater.
- Storytelling sessions that bring the forest to life.
Headlining the festival is "It's All Happening," a high-energy local alt-rock band. Whether you are relaxing under the towering trees or dancing in the Meadow, artistic expression will be around every bend.
The Whispering Cabins
One of the most unique aspects of the festival is the eight rustic Whispering Cabins. These cabins are transformed for one day into immersive art installations created by visual, sound, and multimedia artists. Guests are invited to step inside to interact with exhibits that blend imagination with the natural surroundings.
Community, Creativity, and Kids
The festival emphasizes meaningful interaction and connection through several dedicated zones:
- Art Zones for Kids: Designed for families to create, build, and play together in nature.
- Community Vendors: Local nonprofits and organizations will be present, focusing on sharing knowledge, resources, and community-building initiatives rather than simple transactions.
- Interactive Installations: Beyond the cabins, various natural performance spaces offer up-close artistic experiences.
Get Involved
The festival is supported by community partners, including Nucor and the Seattle Office of Arts & Culture. There are still opportunities for the community to participate directly:
- Vendors: Organizations interested in tabling and engaging with attendees can SIGN UP NOW.
- Volunteers: To help make the festival safe and inspiring, you can SIGN UP NOW.
