Prepare for a weekend of coastal creativity as the Alki Art Fair returns to the shores of West Seattle from July 17-19, 2026. This free, family-friendly community celebration invites visitors to take in colorful views while strolling the promenade, offering a unique opportunity to eat and shop among an expansive lineup of local talent.
A Gallery on the Promenade
The fair transforms the beach into a vibrant outdoor gallery featuring a wide range of painters, illustrators, ceramicists, and jewelers. For those looking to discover the next big name in the local scene, the fair continues its commitment to accessibility through the Emerging Artists booth, providing a platform for creators of all ages.
While the fair is now a celebrated beach tradition, its longevity is rooted in a deep community history. Originally established in 1997 under the guidance of the Alki Community Center, the event transitioned into a volunteer-led nonprofit organization in 2011 after city budget cuts. Today, the fair thrives through the leadership of an all-volunteer Board of Directors and the support of local sponsors like Canna West Seattle Culture Shop, Aegis Living, and Smith Brothers Farms.
Rhythms by the Reach
Music is the heartbeat of the weekend, with live performances scheduled across all three days. This year’s eclectic lineup, presented by Canna West Seattle Culture Shop, features a vibrant assortment of local bands and performers:
- Tim Bertsch
- Copastetic
- Trillivm
- Art Gecko
- Deshawn Rivers
