If you've got some good quality used kids clothes at home the West Seattle Clothesline is in need of them.

As summer winds down, the West Seattle Food Bank's Clothesline is preparing for one of its busiest seasons - and is asking the community for help.
The Clothesline provides free clothing to thousands of neighbors each year, helping children, teens, and adults access quality clothing with dignity. As families prepare for the new school year, demand for children's and teen clothing increases significantly. Families who shop primarily at thrift or free clothing banks need to make multiple trips to secure the items they need, so they start early. The Clothesline is already seeing back-to-school shoppers.
The Clothesline is hoping for:
- New or gently used children's clothing (sizes 5T–12)
- Teen clothing (especially middle and high school sizes – all genders)
- Hoodies and sweatshirts
- Jeans and leggings
- Sneakers in good condition
- New socks and underwear for children and teens
Donations should be clean, in good condition, and ready for their next owner.
"Starting the school year in clothes that fit and help kids feel confident can make a real difference," said Karen Dahl, Clothesline Program Coordinator of the West Seattle Food Bank. "Community donations help ensure local students can head back to school ready to learn and belong."
Clothing donations may be dropped off during donation hours at the West Seattle Food Bank or West Seattle Clothesline’s new location on Delridge.
