The Seattle Police Department (SPD) Crime Prevention unit is calling on residents to step outside and connect with their neighbors for the annual Seattle Night Out, scheduled for Tuesday, August 4, 2026.
Across the nation and in many Seattle neighborhoods, people block off the street, bring out the potluck food and spend time getting to know each other. These events typically begin around 6pm.
It's intended to reduce crime, and make a difference in the event of emergencies.
