Dave Hause and his band The Mermaid roll into Seattle for a two-night stand at the Sunset Tavern on October 2nd and 3rd, local guitar shop owner Frank Gross just announced a special bonus event for the neighborhood.

Gross, owner of Thunder Road Guitars in West Seattle, will welcome Dave Hause and his brother Tim Hause for a free, all-ages, in-store acoustic performance on Saturday, October 3rd at 3:00 PM. Expressing his excitement for the event, Gross noted that the shop "couldn't be more stoked" to host the brothers during their Seattle tour stop.

A Lifelong Musical Brotherhood

The intimate shop session highlights the core collaborative partnership at the center of Dave's solo career. After establishing himself in the Philadelphia punk and hardcore scene as a member of bands like Step Ahead, The Curse, Paint It Black, and The Loved Ones, Philadelphia native Dave Hause launched a solo career that synthesizes punk rock with Americana, folk rock, and heartland rock.

That sound evolved significantly when he joined forces with his brother, Tim Hause. Tim joined as lead guitarist in Dave's backing band, The Mermaid, touring across North America and Europe alongside acts like Brian Fallon and The Gaslight Anthem. Their musical synergy influenced the optimistic tone of Dave's 2017 album Bury Me in Philly and led the duo to co-found their own independent record label, Blood Harmony Records, starting with the release of the 2021 album Blood Harmony.
