West Seattle’s senior basketball player Troy Lingle, a 6’2” wing is the recipient of a $100 scholarship from the Davis Law Group for being recognized as their Scholar Athlete of the Week. He is now entered into a pool of 30 students that will take part in a dinner at a Seattle hotel and may be chosen to receive a $1,000 scholarship.

Lingle lead the Wildcats in scoring with 21 points Friday night in their game against Nathan Hale.

Lingle has been an avid athlete, participating in 3 sports at varsity level, including basketball, soccer and track. During last year’s basketball season, he was selected as All-Metro Honorable Mention.

His hard work and dedication brought him the honor of being Team Captain for the 2011-2012 season.

Lingle maintains a 3.5 grade point average and also volunteers in the community, recently helping with the 100 year anniversary of Hiawatha Community Center.
