High schools
Girls soccer
The first round of the state girls soccer playoffs continues Wednesday, with Seattle Christian hosting Meridian for a 5 p.m. game at French Field in Kent and Highline visiting Ridgefield High School near Battle Ground for 7 p.m. action.
State quarterfinals will take place this Friday and Saturday. Both SCS and Highline would be home if they win Wednesday.
Basketball
The annual Tyee vs. Evergreen Alumni Game takes place Friday starting at 7 p.m. in the Evergreen gymnasium.
Tryouts for high school basketball and all winter sports open Monday.

Volleyball
Seattle Christian is playing in the state Class 1A volleyball tournament at the Yakima Valley Sun Dome this coming weekend.
The Warriors open against Cedar Park Christian at 8 p.m., then play at 5 p.m. if they win and 3:15 p.m. if they lose.
Girls swimming
The Class 2A, 3A and 4A meets all take place at the King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way this weekend.
The 3A preliminaries start at 9:45 a.m. Friday, followed by 4A action at 2:30 p.m. and the 2A at 6:15 p.m.
The 2A finals begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, followed by the 4A at 2:30 p.m. and the 2A at 6:30 p.m.
Pros and colleges
Seahawks
Seattle faces a tough battle Sunday when it visits the Kansas City Chiefs for 10 a.m. action.
The game will be shown live on Channel 13.
Husky football
The University of Washington visits Arizona for 12:30 p.m. action on Channel 13 this Saturday.
Cougar football
The Cougars have a bye this week before visiting Arizona State Saturday, Nov. 22.
Sounders
Seattle continues Major Soccer League playoff action in Los Angeles Sunday, Nov. 23.
Thunderbirds
Seattle is in Moose Jaw for 5 p.m. action Wednesday before dropping in on Brandon at 5:30 p.m. Friday.
Husky men
Washington hosts S.C. State for 7 p.m. action on the Pac-12 cable network Friday.
Husky women
The Huskies are at Oklahoma for a 5 p.m. game Friday.
Cougar men
Washington State University visits the University of Texas at El Paso at 7 p.m. Friday before going to Texas Christian University at 5 p.m. Monday.
Cougar women
WSU hosts Dayton for 7 p.m. action in Pullman this Friday before entertaining Idaho State at 1 p.m. Sunday.
