El Chupacabra Alki opens new space upstairs
El Chupacabra Alki, the funky fun mexican food restaurant/bar at 2620 Alki Ave SW has opened its new upstairs space. The space was formerly occupied by Thai Landing which closed last year. The space was gutted and turned into a second full bar (with a polished concrete bar top) room for more than 35 people and the same food coming from a second kitchen.
The upstairs is not open weeknights yet but Friday, Saturday and Sunday they open at 4pm till 2am. and when the weather is warmer will be open seven days a week.
The upstairs can be booked with advance notice for private events.
The small Seattle chain now has three locations, South Lake Union, Phinney Ridge and Alki Beach.
The restaurant both downstairs and up are family friendly.
