Community Roots Housing, in partnership with the West Seattle Junction Association (WSJA), is proposing plans for a redevelopment of four parking lots in West Seattle.

An online meeting is set for Nov. 4 at 7pm to learn more about the 8 story, 87 apartment building proposed for 3010 Avalon Way SW.

Since the Highland Park Improvement Club headquarters building on Holden Street SW burned in late June, there has been a hole in the community that many have tried to fill.

King County Sheriff's deputies are looking for a suspect that attempted to break into three homes and did break into a fourth and was then discovered in a White Center family's home, sleeping in a child's bed.

Yum Yum Teriyaki at 10641 16th SW was burglarized on Tuesday night. The suspects smashed through the glass door, according to the owner, for the fourth time this year.
