District 1 Seattle City Councilmember Lisa Herbold shared this reminder regarding the Sound Transit light rail draft environmental impact statement whose comment period ends April 28,

Seattle Lutheran High School, founded in 1978 in West Seattle announced on April 22 that they would be closing the school at the end of the 2022 academic year.

In what former Mayor Greg Nickels said he hoped would be the next to last West Seattle Bridge Community Task Force meeting on April 21 the agenda was focused on a look back at the events and process that the closure of the bridge initiated.

While no final reopening date for the West Seattle Bridge has been set, the Seattle Department of Transportation still says mid 2022. Just for the record, that actual date, the middle of the year would be July 2 as the 183rd day of the year.

On April 18th, Seattle Mayor Bruce Harrell announced the One Seattle Day of Service volunteer event to clean up the city. Over 2,200 opportunities to help across 80 activities will be available.
