A student at South Seattle College in West Seattle has been determined to have Covid-19 caused by the Coronavirus. The college sent out a bulletin around 7:10pm to the students and faculty.

As of late February 2020, Public Health – Seattle & King County identified cases of novel coronavirus, including several deaths.

The King County and Seattle Public Health Departments shared a series of documents regarding the decision to establish quarantine facilities in the area, including one in Top Hat near White Center.

The West Seattle Senior Center announced on Thursday that they would close on Friday for "all non-essential programs." Some essential programs will continue. But these measures will remain in effect until further notice.

 King County Public Health has begun bringing in units to a site near Top Hat in North Highline  to house coronavirus patients who need emergency quarantine and isolated treatment.
