A crowd estimated to be in the thousands and certainly the largest ever came to Alki Beach on New Years morning 2024 for the annual polar plunge

With air temperatures in the 30’s the water at 50 degrees was warmer.

The local West Seattle band, (and graduates of Mode Music Studio) THEM will be featured on KING 5's New Year's at the Needle show New Year's Eve.

The band shared the announcement via social media.

A residential fire in the Roxhill/Westwood neighborhood that was called in at 5:15 AM on Thursday morning, displaced six people.

The Wells Fargo Admiral Junction branch will close on March 24. Customers were notified in a letter today. The branch at 2358 California Ave SW. occupies a building built in 1920 that has an appraised value of $5,910,400.
