Foster, Seattle Christian Faith rivalry relived

It used to be a Sea-Tac area rivalry.

Foster was on the Northeast side of the airport in Tukwila, while Christian Faith Center was located on the south side down International Blvd.

Not anymore.

Christian Faith has packed up and left for Federal Way, while the Bulldogs of Foster have stayed put.

But that hasn't kept them from meeting on the basketball court as they did Thursday at CFC's new hoops home in the EX3 Ron Sandwith Teen Center gymnasium just off the new 317th exit on I-5.

Updated--Highline combatants say critical port audit only revealed tip of the iceberg

Battle scarred Highline veterans of the war against construction of the third runway at Sea-Tac International Airport are not surprised by an audit critical of the Port of Seattle.

Artsy partsy

After downing a few too many at a Junction bar, a man defaced a mural by making one of the images anatomically correct. What he didn't realize was that a police officer was watching the entire incident unfold. Caught just after the act, the suspect admitted his guilt-and his particular shame since he, himself, is artist by profession. He was banned from the bar and plans to speak to the business owner whose property he "enhanced."

The winter has brought dark days to a number of local citizens.

A View From the Bicycle Saddle

The view is great

By Dave Kannas

There are few people given the opportunity to write a newspaper column in which to hold forth on a subject held near and dear. I'm one of those few, and for that I thank a person with whom I've had significant disagreement on the subject at hand over the years. To his credit, the editor of this newspaper has expressed an interest in becoming better informed on the subject of bicycling in Seattle, and has asked me to attempt to do that.
