Pearl Jam fans unite for Record Store Day celebration at Easy Street Records

In honor of Record Store Day 2025 and the 20th anniversary of Pearl Jam's Live at Easy Street EP, Easy Street Records in West Seattle is hosting a special in-store roundtable discussion on Wednesday, April 9, at 7 PM PT. The event will feature shop owner Matt Vaughan, General Manager Adam Tutty, and Ten Club's Tim Bierman as moderator. The conversation will delve into the significance of Record Store Day and Pearl Jam's surprise 2005 performance, which supported the Coalition of Independent Music Stores' 10th anniversary.

Attendees can look forward to engaging discussions, prize giveaways, and a chance to celebrate the legacy of Pearl Jam's iconic EP. Easy Street Records is located at 4559 California Ave SW, Seattle, WA, 98116.

Family and friends remember Ka'Don Brown on second anniversary of unsolved murder

Two years after the tragic shooting death of Ka'Don Brown, his family and friends gathered once again at the southwest corner of the Chief Sealth International High School campus to honor his memory and reiterate their ongoing quest for justice. The somber gathering marked the anniversary of the day 21-year-old Ka'Don's life was cut short.

Q & A with Seattle Parks about the fate of the Camp Long Lodge

The arson fire that damaged the historic Camp Long Lodge on November 12, of last year did  more than $1 million in damage. Following the fire Diverse Earthworks from Tulalip, WA was called in to do stablization and shoring work on the damaged building.

Seattle Parks and Recreation has contracted with Diverse Earthworks through an emergency public works contract to stabilize the Camp Long Lodge Building after the fire damage occurred.

This work is being done to comply with the Hazard Correction Order Seattle Building Code Case No. 1059812-VI issued by Seattle Department of Construction & Inspections (SDCI).

This Project will stabilize the Camp Long Lodge Building post-fire to comply with the SDCI correction notice.

Blue Moon Burgers on Alki windows smashed

According to staff at Blue Moon Burgers, more than $7000 worth of damage was done by a 17 year male on Sunday morning. The Alki Ave SW restaurant was attacked they said shortly before employees arrived for work.. They said the 17 year old suspect "said the aliens were coming"

it will take a week and a half to replace since the repairs require custom glass sizes.

The suspect was taken into custody by Seattle Police.

The West Seattle High School (WSHS) Class of 1975 is gearing up to celebrate their 50th reunion on Saturday, June 7, 2025, from 6 PM to 10 PM at the West Seattle Golf Course.

Reunion Details
