Tonight's SeafoodFest Kick-Off BBQ starts the 37th Annual Ballard SeafoodFest and there's plenty more fun and food ahead in this entertainment-filled weekend.
Some of the special attractions include the Lutefisk Eating Contest, entertainers like Seattle icon Stan Boreson, a salmon BBQ cooked by the maritime industry, Viking spirit, and Ballard's own brew.
Here's a schedule of events to give you an idea on what to do, who to see, and what to eat.
The Main Stage:
Located at 22nd Street and Ballard Avenue, the Main Stage will host a great mix of music to be watched from the beer garden or stage-side seating.

Bergen Place:
Berhen Place Park will feature tables, chairs and umbrellas for people to sit down while they enjoy their seafood so you can enjoy every bit of your delicious seafood and other tasty edibles.
On Saturday, Bergen Place Park will be the site of the Annual Lutefisk Eating Contest in which contestants with the biggest stomachs compete to see who can eat the most of these Scandinavian delicacies. Cash prizes go to those who rise above the others. Sign-ups take place at the festival, beginning two hours before the contest. The eating contest takes place on Saturday at 1:15 p.m.
Family Stage:
Located in Ballard Commons Park at 22nd Avenue NW and NW 57th Street, the Family Stage features entertainment for the whole family. In addition the old favorite, a giant turtle tent joins the offerings and is the perfect place for listening to stories. Both days begin with tales from Native American storytellers.
