Original story
Say goodbye to the illustrious Caribbean Pork sandwich Seattle, because as of today Paseos is closed and the word on the street is that it’s for good.
The Seattle Times reported that a sign on their door reads they have closed due to “unfortunate circumstances.”

The Fremont location staff was not even told about the closure. The Times reported one sandwich maker showed up to work ready for the lunch rush but found the sign and a locked door.
The reason for closing has not been determined, but according to the Times there was a lawsuit filed against the business owners in September which could have led to complications staying open.
“Four former Paseo workers terminated in March say in their suit against Paseo’s owners that they were the victim of wage-theft and unfair treatment before they lost their jobs,” stated theTimes.
A longtime staff member told the Times, “We know he didn’t want this to happen.”
The close is a shock to the sandwich community. Most days the cash only business had lines out the door at both locations. The sandwich shack has been a cheap eats staple in Seattle for years and in recently has been tourist destination. The shop is so popular it was listed by Yelp as no. 2 in the Top 100 U.S. places to eat and was praised by the TLC Network.
Even this reporter befell the lust for the Caribbean Roast sandwich and being bewitched by its deliciousness, wrote a serious review of the restaurant.
