After volunteering in my son’s 2nd Grade Class for the first time this past June, I went home and bawled my eyes out after seeing first hand our public education system drowning, Teachers, staff and students. I began to deeply imagine what it’s truly been like for the last 2 years.
To say our children, the adults of the future, are desperate for support is an understatement. Children can only have that support with proper and appreciated staff.
If you’ve made it this far into my post, Whether you have children or not, may you please consider flooding the emails of board members and the superintendent by simply following the link below:
We all thank you very much ♥️🙏♥️
Here is the email you would send:
“Student needs are more acute than ever and educators know what it takes to support them. That's why it's critical that SPS honor SEA educators' expertise now-- before time runs out-- and agree to a contract that provides students with the fully funded resources and supports they need to thrive.
SPS needs more Multilingual and Special Education supports, workload and caseload relief, and higher wages particularly for the lowest paid staff.
Please direct the SPS Bargaining Team to take seriously the words of SEA educators and find agreement with SEA now. Our students can't wait!”
Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!
