Seattle Parks and Recreation (SPR) asked the public to come and visit on Oct. 10 to review the design and provide final community input on possible additional features for the West Seattle Junction future park site at 4723-4731 40th Ave. SW. 

First opened in 1963 the McDonalds at 6546 California Ave SW was supposed to be remodeled in 2000, more than 23 years ago.

Admiral District merchants of West Seattle are proud to announce the return of the annual “Trick-or-Treating” event for 2023.

The Seattle Public Utilities site lists all planned water outages and one is set to start in the Fauntleroy/Gatewood/Morgan Junction area starting at 9pm Oct 5 until 4am Oct. 6.

#2023-285758/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:

A shooting aboard a Metro bus took place shortly after 5pm near 15th SW and SW Roxbury. A body was seen near the bus as police blocked off the area to start the investigation. The victim was dead at the scene.

A new discount store is coming to Westwood Village. Aimed at the center area of the mall, the paperwork for the new store is now underway.

The Staples office supply store at Westwood Village is closing Nov. 17. A company has been brought in to begin the movement of merchandise to pallets for a move to other locations such as Burien or Renton.
