Drama behind the curtain – and event during rehearsals – takes center stage in “THE SCOTTISH PLAY,” an episodic series recently released on Amazon.

The cast of Shrek the Musical (or most of it) from Twelfth Night Productions took to the West Seattle Junction on Saturday morning to promote the production in an innovative way.

As a preamble to Summerfest this weekend, the streets will close Thursday night and West 5 Restaurant & Lounge and Jazz Night School will present a free live performance from one of Seattle’s top-level, big band jazz groups, Big Band Blue.

In its forty-third year of attracting seafood lovers from the region, Ballard SeafoodFest had a strong showing this year and festivalgoers thronged the streets in search of salmon, crab, and a smorgasbord of sea fare.
