The 2024 West Seattle Glass Float Hunt, conceived three years ago as part of a celebration of the reopening of the West Seattle Bridge, is over and the West Seattle Junction Merchants Association has declared it a big success.

The Seattle Police Foundation is hosting a "Hops with the Cops" event on WednesdaySept. 4 at Elliott Bay Brewing, giving people a chance to have a casual conversation with local police officers. The event will run from 5 to 8pm.

Dave Myers, a 63-year-old former carpenter turned pilot, has touched down in Seattle as part of a remarkable 10,000-mile road trip, offering locals and tourists alike a chance to experience flight in his unique aircraft.
