A land use application has been filed with Seattle's Department of Construction and Inspection to permit the construction of an 86 unit apartment building under record  EDG # 3036127-LU at 1140 NW Market Street in Ballard.

The King County Sheriff's office reports that at 4:15 AM a KCSO deputy sustained minor injuries after a suspect backed their SUV onto her patrol car during a traffic stop near S 116th St / 1st Ave S.
