Rollicking good time had by all at Breeders Theater production

Now, we all know that Burien is a family-friendly type of town. It is the kind of place where good folks can raise a family and enjoy a good evening of quality, clean entertainment right in their own backyard.

So, let me assure you, that the Breeders Theater's newest show, CRAZY/NAKED, is not a risqu/, indecent piece of theater. There are absolutely NO crazy or naked people in the story... well, okay. There are no naked people.

CRAZY/NAKED is the latest silly, fun creation by TM Sell and the Breeders Theater that skewers one of our favorite subjects: local politics.

Burien residents Mick Purdy, an owner of Mick Kelly's Irish Pub, and Sean O'Rawe both grew up as soccer fans in Ireland.

But living in this Seattle suburb, they have become avid Seahawk fans - and season ticket holders.

So much so that within 24 hours of the Seahawks' Jan. 5 playoff win over the Washington Redskins, they had their tickets and plane, hotel and car reservations for a pilgrimage to Green Bay.

The Packers thumped Seattle 42-20 on Jan.

New Burien Bartell Drugs to open

Bartell Drugs will open its entirely new location in downtown Burien on Monday, Jan. 28.

Located in the Redwood Plaza complex at 14901 Fourth Ave. S.W., the new store is across the parking lot from Bartell's current "temporary" location.

Construction of Burien Town Square prompted the relocation of Bartell Drugs and the move to the temporary site in the summer of 2007.

"We're excited to finally settle into our entirely new location, and we appreciate the patience and loyalty of our customers," said Bartell Drug's Chairman and CEO George D.
