WSTC meeting discussed ST3 station plans and free Orca cards

By Gwen Davis

This past Thursday, the West Seattle Transportation Coalition (WSTC) held its monthly meeting at Neighborhood House.

ST3 alternatives

The meeting included a presentation from the West Seattle Sound Transit 3 Plan Stakeholder Advisory Group (SAG). From now until spring 2019, the advisory group is set to explore alternatives for station locations, water crossings and track locations, as well as solicit community input.

The alternatives discussed involved the proposal to extend the line through Pigeon Point via tunnel, across the Delridge valley on the piers, and then enter another tunnel to proceed to the Junction station. An additional alternative described the line following an elevated route through Delridge, and then entering a tunnel on the other side of Delridge valley, on the way to an underground Junction station.
