Ssturday morning May 5, according to the King County Sheriff's office a 65 yr old male was taken to the Hospital for a Mental Health evaluation after it was found that he had an unloaded rifle and was hiding out of sight but racking the rifle telling his family they needed to leave the house. The incident occurred in the 2000 BLK SW 116th Street. (C18020028) around 8 am.
The man has some mental health issues in the past and was intoxicated and the family has been worried about him as of late. King County deputies arrived and quickly de-escalated the situation.
The man was transported to the hospital and the Police took the gun for safety reasons.
