On Thursday, September 17th, neighbors and art lovers will gather for the Rat City Art Walk, an event organized by the White Center Business Alliance running from 5pm to 8pm.
The evening features an interactive Art Scavenger Hunt that encourages visitors to stop at four key locations: Misfits Strength Studio, Terraplanted, La Cueva up the stairs, and Patrick's Bakery and Cafe. At each stop, participants can collect a sticker from a featured artist before making their way to Puffy Pandy to pick up a prize, a limited edition Rat City Soccer Scarf.
A vibrant group of local businesses and creators are participating throughout the district:
- Nepantla Cultural Arts Gallery hosts the Low Rider Art Show showcasing 38 artists.
- Nacho Mama's Fry Bread Cafe presents artists Svveethrtart and Izukuleeyoung alongside 5 dollar Native Tacos.
- Cartwheel Vintage and Consign features Would You Lather? and Krista Lauren Crafts.
- Misfit Strength and Circus hosts R2 Rachel Onorati, Niq, and Hooked and Twirled.
- Mr. B's Mead Center features vendors alongside Mrs. B's Art Table.
- Terraplanted displays artwork by Greg Barnes and Tamara Slammer.
- Boombox Bar (21 plus) presents Susan's Sweet Squees and Ellevate Jewelry with Happy Hour from 5pm to 7pm.
- Rat City Bikes hosts creators Spechie and Vida Catastrophe D'Ho.
- Second Seasons Thrift showcases Holly Salmeron and Tang.
- Wolfpack Cellars hosts Mr. Bun's Bakery, By Bika, Kverityart, Star Aphrodite, Geosartshop, CHELS / @chels___art, and Bricks and Minifigs.
- La Garrafita features Honeys Baubles and Charm, Amelia Submerged, and fresh tamales.
- Proletariat Pizza displays works by Sabinalopez.
- Lumberyard Bar (21 plus) features Altared.roots and From The Mind of Greg Delaney.
- Mynt Salon presents D's Craft Room Creations.
- Randevu Shawarma hosted Fiber Fawn, Rene Nieto, and Growing Contigo.
- Big Mario's Pizza featured music by DJ Rabiola.
- Buho showcased Big Moni Luv.
- Seapines Physical Therapy presented 2DANIM8OR, Burgeon, and Mother of Queer Crafts.
- Tim's Tavern hosted Poppydog Wax, Trog Giantkiller and Keltic Kitty, J.S. Walls Art, Sweet Fortune, Octal Press, and live music by Dusty 45s featuring The Danny Godinez Trio.
- Zeek's Pizza featured Pulling Teeth alongside slice and pint specials.
- Tomo served 5 dollar specialty cocktails.
- Muse and Mayhem Atelier showcased Tyler Parker and Trinity.
- Barberella's Barbershop hosted Ezrifell.
- Lariat Bar (21 plus) featured Chunky Brewster, Kay The Paint Lady, and The Sauce Powered by Tyrone Jones.
- Puffy Pandy hosted Holly Vedder, Chibi.Comics, Amalsoappickle, Art Weirdo Syndicate, Trashy Emo, and Ev Linett and Dahlay, offering watermelon slush and ice cream specials.
- Tomb of Treasure displayed Paper Cuts and Grubs.

When the main walk concludes at 8pm, the celebration shifts to the official after party. The Night Walk presented by 2 Fingers Social (21 plus) runs from 8pm until late with no cover charge. Night owls and artists will gather at 2 Fingers Social to enjoy a live DJ, live art, a tattoo pop up, local vendors, food, and drink specials to round out the evening.
