Willard C. Julum died suddenly May 9, 2007, of a heart attack at Lake Tapps. Services were held May 15 at Holy Family Catholic Church, Auburn, and he was buried at Gethsemane, Federal Way.

He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Jean Payne-Julum, sons Brad of Olympia and Blaze of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho; daughter Darcie (Billy) Jacobsen of Lake Tapps; four grandchildren; and sister Marian Julem-Weaver of Seattle.

He graduated from Highline High School as ASB president in 1951.

He and his best friend Ken Leingang enrolled at Eastern Washington University.

A memorial service for Vaughn Meiller will be held Wednesday, June 6, at 11 a.m. at Bonney-Watson Parker Chapel, 900 S.W. 146th Street in Burien.

Mr. Meiller, who was executive director of the Highline Medical Center Foundation, passed away at his home on Monday, May 7, after a courageous battle with cancer. He had served as executive director of the foundation since 1997.

Charley Plumb was born May 18, 1946, and passed away May 12, 2007, at the young age of 60.

Charley married his sweetheart Sally on Feb. 14, 1994. He worked at High-Rise Cabinets Inc.

He is survived by his wife of 13 years, his son Kirk, his daughters Kerry and Nancy, as well as seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Charley had a love for fly fishing, working with wood, and loved to design his own creations.

With much love from his wife, he will be missed by family and friends

Edwin Elliot McDade passed away Wednesday, May 16, 2007, at home in La Conner, Washington. He was 94

Ed was born in 1912 in Harlan, Iowa to Edwin and Mae McDade. The son of a Methodist minister, Ed graduated in 1934 from Cornell College, a small liberal-arts college in Mount Vernon, Iowa. During his college summers, he worked at Holiday Camp, a summer camp in Wisconsin. He enjoyed theater in school, performing as Nanki-Poo in The Mikado and Ralph Rackstraw in H.M.S. Pinafore.

Frances Mary Mautz was born August 31, 1919, in Albany, Calif. Her parents emigrated from Slovenia. She was the youngest of three children and grew up in Berkeley, Calif.

Frances graduated from the University of California at Berkeley with a major in Journalism, in 1942. After World War II, she married Kenneth McBreen. They had four children in the baby boomer (1950s) era.

Russ Lowe was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, May 18, at the age of 92, after an extended illness.

He was born June 11, 1914, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the eldest of five children. He married Frances Linder in 1938, and together they had three children.

88, of Apache Junction, Ariz., passed away on Monday, April 23, 2007. June is survived by her husband Harvey, of 10 years, her children, Ed McIntosh of Bothell, Marjorie Caves of Mesa, Ariz., and Roberta Stowe of Mesa Ariz. She also leaves behind eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. June spent her life in Ballard up until the last 8 years. June loved to bowl and was a long time member of the Ballard Eagles. A private family service was held.

Passed away early on April 20 at the age of 79, after struggling with the disease of alcoholism for a majority of his adult life. He moved to Seattle in 1967 from Stockholm, Sweden and worked here and in Honolulu for United Airlines and was honored as one of Seattle's top five voices by the Seattle Times for his announcements at the airport.

He was an avid sailor who competed in the First World's Cup held in Seattle in 1973, in his 6 meter boat Noa.
