September 20, 1925 - April 28, 2007.

Gladys was born to Alf and Malena (Kjelsnes) Remme in Mohler, Wash. Her family soon moved to Ballard where she lived for many years and was a graduate of Ballard High class of 1943. She married her high school sweetheart, Russell Wilson, in 1944 and they enjoyed 63 loving years together.

They moved to California where they started the family that Gladys loved and cherished.

March 31, 1925 - April 26, 2007, passed away peacefully at his home in Normandy Park on Thursday.

Born in Turtle Creek, Pa., to Harry and Mellie Blakley, shortly thereafter, along with his three brothers; Harry, Alvin and Merrill, the family relocated to South Park, where they owned "Casey's Tavern."

In grade school, William met the love of his life, Rosie Guarino, and in 1945, after a long courtship, they married at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in South Park.

Jay was born on November 9, 1917 in Alberta, Canada and passed away in Des Moines, Washington on May 11, 2007.

He is survived by his daughters; Kay Jones, Patty Mickelsen and Michele Vogt, two sisters, six grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2007, 10 a.m. at Yarington's Funeral Home, 10708 16th Ave. S.W. in White Center. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Disabled American Veterans Association. Jay will be deeply missed.

Vaughn Meiller, executive director of Highline Medical Center Foundation, passed away at his home on Monday, May 7, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Mr. Meiller was born in Texas on October 26, 1950, and later moved to the Seattle area. He became executive director of the Highline Medical Center Foundation on July 15, 1997.

Ralph George Chandler was born May 24, 1926, and passed away peacefully at home on May 6, 2007.

Ralph married his sweetheart Lydia on June 15, 1946.

Kathleen A. Mikkila, 64, passed away April 28, 2007. Born in Mt. Vernon, she had been a Federal Way resident the last 33 years. Kathleen worked for a local auto parts store as a delivery driver. Survivors include; Daughter, Rhonda Mikkila of Federal Way; Son, Craig Mikkila (wife Karrie) of Kent. There will be a celebration of Kathleen's life on Saturday, May 5, 2007 at the home of Craig and Karrie Mikkila, all are invited. Age 91, born in Kirkwall, Scotland, Dec. 1, 1915, died peacefully April 27th. John was 1 of 4 sons born to Alfred and Elsie Scott Sr. He grew up in West Seattle, became a quartermaster in the Merchant Marine, worked as foreman for General Construction. John touched countless lives as a successful grocer owning stores in West Seattle, Beacon Hill, White Center, Lake City, and Rainier Valley. He was an avid fisherman, gardener, loving father and brother.

80, Seattle City Council member, mayoral candidate, community activist, leader and loving husband, passed away peacefully Thursday, April 26 2007, surrounded by family and friends.

Born October 13 1926, Maui, Hawaii. Graduated St. Louis High School, Oahu. U.S. Army service, Sergeant rank. Graduated, bachelor of science degree in Foreign Service, Georgetown University.
