Anna Hansen Bendiksen. Born 9-28-1906 and died 4-21-2006. Beloved mother of Adele Styve, Grace Nash, Beverly LaVictoire, and Ben Alfred (who died in 1995). She is survived by 11 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ben, in 1982. She will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends. Anna Hansen was born in South Bend, Wa where she met and married Ben Bendiksen in 1925. They moved to Ballard in 1941, where Anna spent the remainder of her life.

Lloyd M. Myers 101, died on Vashon Island, Friday April 21, 2006. Lloyd was born May 23, 1904 in Calvin, North Dakota. In 1941, he married Ada Mae Parke from Devils Lake, North Dakota, and they moved to West Seattle. Lloyd worked for the Boeing Airplane Company until retirement in 1969. Lloyd continued to live in his West Seattle home after Ada died in 1994 until he moved to Vashon Island in 2004.

Larry was born May 18th, 1963 in Portland Oregon, passed away unexpectly of heart failure on the morning of May 19th, 2006. Larry was the oldest of five children and at times was more like a father than a brother. He graduated from St. Helens High school and then attended Oregon State University. He had a great love of computers and books and through these he was able to go places most of us only dream of. He was a big man with an even bigger heart and he world will be a smaller place with out him here.

Marie was 40 years old. She was a graduate of Cleveland High School, University of Washington, Golden Gate Law School and was a member of Washington State Bar.

While at the University of Washington she was a member of Phi Mu Sorority.

Marie leaves behind her Mom, Lola; Brother, Eddie and family; Dad, Jim and family; Aunt Barbara and Burt Olson, cousins and Many, Many Friends. Born in 1918 in Silverton, Ore., Lloyd Cooley passed away peacefully on March 29 in Mt. Vernon.

He was a retired U.S. Navy and United Airlines captain, a former Highline School Board member and Washington State School Directors president, a college track star, and fisherman extraordinaire.

Lloyd was always more interesting than his accomplishments.

Judy Duff, beloved friend, passed away Monday, May 1, after two years of living with cancer. Her journey concluded at home in the presence of her husband, Dave, and daughter, Deanna.

Judy’s life was filled with remarkable friends whom she adored and was blessed to have known. Her family appreciates the thoughts and prayers of all whom were inspired by Judy’s love and grace.

Margaret Opsata, 91, of Des Moines, passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home on April 30, 2006. She was born Feb. 24, 1915, in Valley City, N.D., to Elmer and Margaret Hindsley. She married Al Opsata on Feb. 25, 1938. They were married for 55 years.

Margaret and Al were partners in running the T B & M grocery stores and later, in retirement, their 29-acre ranch. She enjoyed gardening, stamp and coin collecting, baking and getting together with family. Margaret was considered the family “President,” and she was loved and respected by all who knew her.

Born January 19, 1922, in Nesselsdorf, Czechoslovakia, Walter Pauler passed away May 6, 2006, in Burien.

Walter is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, Karen, and one sister. A technical engineer, he loved to travel and enjoyed the company of many different people. He will be truly missed.

Devin C. Seeley of Enumclaw died in Sumner May 4, 2006, at the age of 21. He was born June 23, 1984, to Loree Walden and Robert Seeley in Enumclaw.

Devin graduated from Enumclaw High School in 2003. He enjoyed competitive sports and was a State National Junior Wrestling Champion. He was on the first team, All League Special Team, South Puget Sound Football.

Michael was born May 24, 1920 in Tacoma, WA. He passed away peacefully at the Washington State Veterans Home in Retsil, WA on April 28, 2006 at the age of 85. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Harriet, son Clifford and step-son Michael Lee.

He was on PT Boat 459 during the WWII invasion at Normandy. He married and had four sons. Later he joined the Coast Guard. In 1958 he married Harriet, moved to South Seattle and had two daughters. The last few years, while in the Coast Guard he set the buoys for the Seafair Hydroplane races.
