A teacher of English and drama with an emphasis on drama in Kelso and Tyee and Mt. Rainier high schools in the Highline School District, Dick had a great love of theater arts and participated in all phases from directing to acting.

He served in the U.S. Army, 92nd AFA, as a Sergeant First Class in Korea.

Dick spent a year in Japan teaching English at Tottori College. After returning from Japan, he worked at the airport in security.

Dick loved to travel and on his 70th birthday he traveled to Thailand and fulfilled his dream of riding an elephant!

Donald Roy Fisher was born Dec. 19, 1920, in Pueblo, Colo., to Robert S. and Anna Johanna (Kern) Fisher. He was the second of two children, preceded by his sister Mildred.

Don was raised by his aunt, Mrs. J. S. Harmon of Arlington, Texas. His love for all things aviation began as a small boy. He became an Army Air Corps officer in World War II and earned distinction as a pilot of a B-17, winning the Distinguished Flying Cross medal among others. He earned a B.S.

Farnam

Marge was born February 5, 1934, in Seattle. She died April 8, 2006, after a lengthy battle with MS. She was 72.

Marge graduated from Franklin High School in 1951 and was a member of their Alumni Society. She married Donald Farnam on December 19, 1958. They made their first home in the Wallingford area. Since 1965 they have lived in Normandy Park. She worked at Sears for seven years before opening Double F Ceramics with her husband.

Lillian I. Carlstrom, 92, died at her home in Federal Way, April 3, 2006.

She was born August 4, 1913 in Monticello, Minn. Lillian is survived by her son, Thomas Carlstrom; daughters, Cleo Freyberg, Jean Stever, Bonnie Davey and Sonja Carlstrom; 13 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Born in Minneapolis, Minn., March 21, 1923. Bob died April 1, 2006, in Seattle, WA surrounded by family. He was a World War II Navy veteran and a lifelong resident of Seattle. He attended St. John's school in Greenwood, O'Dea High School and graduated from Ballard High School. He was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita. Survived by daughters, Patt Post, Colleen Basher and Lanae Ayers , their husbands, 7 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren; devoted sister, Helen Rosser, numerous nieces and nephews. We will miss his smiling face and great sense of humor.

Danny Ray Moore, 52, of Ballard, Washington passed away peacefully on the morning of Friday, March 10, 2006, of complications from pneumonia. He is loved and missed. He was born on May 22, 1953, in Staunton, VA, and moved to Washington as a soldier stationed at Ft. Lewis. He was a member of the Eagles Fraternal Order Of Salmon Bay Aerie No 2141.

Edward Charles Bintz, age 84, died Sunday March 26th in Flagstaff, AZ. He was born January 19, 1922 in Chicago IL to Edward and Clara Ohms Bintz. Edward married Lillian Bailey in 1943 in Chicago IL. He grew up in Chicago, graduated from Lane Tech and served in the US Navy from 1944 to 1946. He lived in Round Lake, IL, Wauconda, IL, Phoenix, AZ, Sedona, AZ, Seattle, WA, and Flagstaff, AZ.

Age 91, passed away March 31, 2006. Mae was born in Glendive, Montana on February 4, 1915. She moved to Seattle where she met her husband Harry and later settled in Ballard where they raised their four children, Andrea, Mary, Bill and Harold. Her children have always been grateful that she was the kind of grandmother who was always ready to play with her grandchildren at a moments notice. Card playing was a favorite and few grandchildren where able to keep up with her. Mae always though of others before herself.

Robert L. Prescott 98 years old, 1907-2006 went to the Lord March 31,2006.

He was born November 5, 1907 in Helena, Montana, the youngest of five children. In 1926 he attended the University of Montana, then transferred to the University of Washington where he graduated in Business Administration in 1930.

In 1931 Robert married Lurene Ramsey of Philip, S.D. They built their home of 63 years in 1941, in the Fauntleroy community. Since that time Robert was very active with the Fauntleroy Congregational Church and other community service oriented positions.

Sarah Blackwell Kienlen was born June 2, 1913, in Aberdeen, and passed away March 14, 2006, in Federal Way.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2006, 2 p.m. at the Highline Christian Church, 14859 First Ave. S. in Burien.
