David Brent Gailey died Dec. 27, 2005, at the age of 46 and employed with Boeing in Renton. He was a life long resident of Boulevard Park.

Brent, as he was known to his family and friends, is survived by his parents, Duane D. and M. Jean Gailey, of Boulevard Park; half brothers Michael Hunting (Lisa), Puyallup, Milton James Gailey, Fairfield, and Donald Scott Gailey (Magali), Auburn; one sister, Jacqueline Simpson (Bill), Federal Way; numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Rest in peace, free at last.

A memorial service is being planned.

Glen Grazier’s e-mail signature read, “Old pilots never die -- they just fly away.” Glen departed this earth, surrounded by family and friends, on Jan. 7, 2006.

Glen was born June 2, 1914, in a tarpaper shack in Clear Lake, Mont., and grew up in Dixon, Mont. His lifelong passion for flying was sparked when he and his classmates watched with excitement as a large biplane landed in a field outside their elementary school.

Glen received his transport pilot license at the tender age of 22.

Michelle left us peacefully on Christmas Eve and became an angel. She had spent this last year in a courageous battle with mouth cancer. She amazed and had everyone in awe with her spunkiness and her powerful determination to keep going and to live each day to the fullest.

Michelle was born 45 years ago in Seattle to her parents, James and Madelyn May, now deceased. She grew up, went to school, raised her son and spent all of her adult life in West Seattle. Her personality and zest for life lit up a room.

Ann Hastie Zombro 84 of Stanwood, died Wednesday, January 4, 2006.

She was born July 18, 1921 in Windygates, Scotland.

Ann married Walter Zombro and came to America in 1945 as a war bride.

Walter preceded her in death in 1970.

She is survived by three children; Janet Turner, James (Nancy) Zombro, and Raymond (Nanci) Zombro, 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Private interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery, West Seattle.

Walter was born June 15, 1914 in Kenosha, Wisconsin and died at home December 30, 2005 in Seattle. Having moved from Chicago to Seattle in 1937 Wally retired after 40 years with the Boeing Company as an aeronautical engineer. Throughout his life he was an avid fisherman, hunter, inventor and Danish baker. His creative mind was always investigating the newest and most innovative gadgets, but never far away were WD-40 and duct tape for any repairs.

He lived his faith as a member of Peace Lutheran Church for over 50 years.

Born October 18, 1928, passed away January 4, 2006. Business years from 1957-1982. Grocery owner of Tervo's on California Avenue Southwest and Tervo's Mini Mart at Southwest Fauntleroy Way. Mr. T. - a man ahead of the times, with great visions of the future, from penny candy to Dom Perignon. Long hours and hard work were his way of life.

Corinne B. Sarkies (nee Newquist) was born April 13, 1914 and died December 31, 2005. She is survived by her three children, Jeffrey, Todd (Ilene) and Carol, and her three grandchildren, Jason, Tessa and Daneka Sarkies. One brother, Donald Newquist (Edith), also survives, as well as other members of the extended family. We are grateful to the many people who extended kindness to our mother during her final illness as well. Thank you to her friends at Brittany Park who helped her find a new community that gave her great joy in the last years of her life.

Phyllis died unexpectedly on Christmas night after spending the holiday with her family. Phyllis was born in Spokane in 1921 where she met and married her husband, Henry, in 1939. They moved to Seattle in 1940 where they have lived ever since. They purchased property in Moses Lake in the early eighties and spent half of the year there fishing and entertaining their children and grandchildren, whenever they could get them.

Phyllis was a wife, mother and grandmother who loved her family unconditionally and whose pride in them was enormous.

Shirley A. Hoover, born February 18, 1928 in Seattle and passed away December 20, 2005 in Seattle. She was a long time member of the West Seattle Yacht Club and was an active bowler in West Seattle. Shirley retired from Boeing after twenty-nine years. She is survived by her brother, Jim Carter, and wife Kathy, and sons, Bill, Bob (Thelma) and Jim Hoover; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She is preceded in death of her husbad Jim. A celebration of Life will be held from 1 p/m/ until 4 p.m., Thursday, December 29, 2005 at 8622 22nd Avenue SW, Seattle, Washington 98106.
