Robert L. Beadell

Passed away at Evergreen Hospice July 26, 2005. Born Aug. 26, 1928 in Puyallup, Washington to parents Esther and Claude Beadell. Left behind his wife and high school sweetheart of 54 years; three daughters, Deborah Davis, Sheryl Bannister, Robin Peterson; four grandsons, three granddaughters, three great grandsons;. Sister Betty Grittman, brother Roy Beadell, nieces, nephews, and many friends from H.P.I.C. He was a 1948 graduate of West Seattle High School.

Arthur Stephen "Steve" AMENDE

Arthur Stephen "Steve" Amende, age 55, passed peacefully on July 28, 2005, at his home.

Steve is survived by his mother, Evelyn B.I. Amende; two sisters, Janice Brockway and Kathy Peffer (Doug); two brothers, Larry and Allan Amende; seven nieces and nephews and two great nephews. Steve was preceded in death by his father, Arthur-John Amende, in 1970.

A memorial service was held Aug. 5 at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church of SeaTac.

The family prefers memorial contributions be made to American Heart Association or EarthSave.

John Redington

John Redington, age 71, was born July 23, 1934 in Oxford, Idaho and passed away July 23, 2005 in Auburn, Washington. John was a beloved brother of Louise Alexander (Tom) and Patricia McKee. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. There will be no Memorial Service at John's request. Remembrances may be made to the American Heart Association. Brian Thomas STOKES

Brian was born January 16, 1952, and died on July 24, 2005.

He is survived by the love of his life, Carol Wieltschnig; his parents, Patrick and Mary Stokes: a brother, Michael Stokes; sisters Christine Stokes (Michuel DeVries) and Loretta (Jim) Williamson; nephew Josh Stokes and niece Sarah Stokes; great-nephews Brandon Stokes and C.J. Bowman; and nieces Kelsey Robinson, Natalie Robinson and Kayden Stokes.

He was admired and loved by his family and friends. He will be deeply missed.

Rosary was August 2 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Seattle.

George Edris AUSTIN

George Edris Austin, born June 1, 1918, died July 23, 2005.

An honorable man, he was born in Seattle to Signhild Lundberg and Herman Austin. He attended Lincoln High School and the University of Washington until entering the navy prior to World War II. He survived the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor; there are now only eight crew members from the battleship USS Maryland still surviving.

After the war he worked as top salesman at Smith Gandy Ford in Seattle and Metke Ford in Bellevue.

Edith 'Johnny' Sparks

Died one day after her 82nd birthday on July 19, 2005. Born in Battleview, North Dakota, she graduated from the Seattle University School of Nursing and was a longtime resident of the West Seattle area. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 51 years, Jack J. Sparks, in 1997, and her son, Michael, in 2000. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Diana Sparks, of Sammamish, Wash., and three grandchildren, Melissa Arias and Tony and Keenan Sparks. Private family services were held at Washington Memorial Park.

Virginia Ann

NICODEMUS-GROOM

Virginia Ann Nicodemus-Groom, age 72, was born July 12, 1933, in Locust Grove, Oklahoma, to James and Cora Nicodemus. She passed away peacefully at home on July 13, 2005.

Virginia is survived by her husband of 49 years, Kenneth D. Groom; her two sons, David J. (Chikako) and James L. Groom; a daughter, Lydia R. Nor; two grandsons, Zakarya M. K. and Abdelaziz S.K. Nor; and her cousins including the Blackwells, Sanders and Mayes.

A visitation was held July 19, 2005, at Bonney-Watson Washington Memorial, SeaTac.
