The annual West Seattle Hi-Yu Community Breakfast where you will meet the candidates for Hi-Yu royalty and get a chance to see their creative expression and talent (at 9:30am) will serve up a full breakfast from 8am to 11am Saturday, May 3.

The event will be held at the Alki Masonic Center 4736 40th SW and a donation is requested. Adults $6, Kids to 12 $3 with the funds going to the Hi-Yu Scholarship Program and Parade Float hosted by the Masons.

Also new this year is a crowdsourcing webpage on YouCaring.com to raise money specifically for float repairs and a trailer to put the float in. The page is here: http://bit.ly/1o4RhaA
