Burien is looking for a few artists who are interested in turning traffic signal control boxes into canvases for their work. This project is made possible by the Burien Art in Public Place Fund.

The box office is now open for the Seattle International Film Festival, and more than 433 films will be screened for the occasion.

The Ballard High School Playmakers are bringing Our Town to our neighborhood! Our Town is a metatheatrical three-act play about life in the fictional small town of Grover’s Corners.

The hard part isn’t exactly over for the jazz band at Ballard High School.

“It’s crunch time,” senior Katie Webster said.

Early in the second act, the stage goes dark and an unseen character says, “The point of this whole thing was to make you feel something."
