A rumor that spread quickly on social media over the last few days about a serial killer in Burien and SODO has been denied by the King County Sheriff's office.

At 9:55pm Thursday night Oct 13, a SW Precinct Patrol Sergeant heard gunshots to the north of the SW Precinct (located on Delridge Way SW). This information was broadcast, and officers responded to the area to conduct a search.
