We are deeply saddened by the death of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, Jim Tilbury, who lost his courageous battle with stomach cancer on March 29. Jim died peacefully at home with his family after a difficult journey; a journey he accepted with strength and peace, knowing his Lord was waiting for him. He was a wonderful example to his family and friends, and we are very proud of him.

Jim was born in Mt Vernon, Wash., in 1938, the youngest child of Percy and Adena Tilbury. He grew up in West Seattle graduating from West Seattle High School in 1956.

Our beautiful Donna left us unexpectedly on March 16, 2007.

Born September 28, 1942, in Mt. Vernon, Donna grew up in Roseburg, Oregon, and spent her working life in Portland. She received her bachelor's degree from Marylhurst University and her master's degree in Fine Arts from Antioch University.

She was employed with Georgia Pacific for 17 years. In later years Donna made her home in Des Moines where everyone knew her as a kind and giving person who loved working in her beautiful garden that brought her and others so much joy.

Long-time Seattle-area resident Alfred S. Laiminger entered into rest Monday, April 2, 2007, at Highline Medical Center after a short but courageous battle with cancer. Alfred was born in Trinidad, Colorado, to Alfred, Sr. and Ida (Deldosso). He graduated from the University of Colorado in 1951 and went to work for Boeing, first in Seattle and then in Wichita, Kansas. He returned to Seattle in 1955 after military service with the Army Corps of Engineers at Ft. Bragg, North Carolina.

Polly, as she was known to her many friends and family, went home to be with the Lord on March 22, 2007, after an extended battle with cancer. She was lovingly cared for in her last weeks by her sons, who were with her when she died. Polly was born in Portland on March 2, 1939, to Paul Frank and Wilhelmina Louise (Boehrig) Jones.

She graduated from Franklin High School in 1956 and went on to graduate from Puget Sound College of the Bible in 1961. She married Corwin Clyde Smith on Oct. 29, 1966. Throughout her life, Polly worked for churches in Oregon and Washington.

Born August 14, 1945 in Spokane; died March 26, 2007 in Fife, at the age of 61.

Graduate of West Seattle High School in 1963. David was an avid Christian and missionary. Served in the U.S. Marine Corp during Viet Nam.

He worked as a Level 3 Non-destructive Tester at Boeing and Certified Educator at SSCC.

David is survived by his children Rachel and Jesse Odegard, granddaughter Olivia Collis, sisters Sharon Johnson, and Pamela Johnson, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Robert Constant Miller, born July19, 1925 in Yakima, Washington, son to Herman and Elizabeth Miller, Founders of Husky Ice Cream & Delicatessen in West Seattle, which opened in 1933 and is still owned by the Miller Family. Bob was the fourth of four children. World War II Merchant Marine Veteran, Korean War Army Veteran, Husband to Sheila Cameron-Miller, Father of eight children: Kathleen, Roberta, Hugh, Sheila, Jacqueline, Paul, Jeanette and Matthew, grandfather of nine.

Survived by his sister, M.

Robert Wesley Gibson, 90, passed away in Burien on March 23, 2007. During the last 10 months of his life, he courageously endured without complaint the debilitating effects of a stroke. He was born on May 30, 1916 in Roberts, Idaho, the seventh of eight children of Wesley and Jane Gibson. His father was a businessman and farmer and served three terms in the Idaho state senate. His mother was a school teacher. Bob graduated from Roberts High School in 1932 at age sixteen.

Joyce Crow, 62, passed away on March 15, 2007. Born in Melrose Park, Illinois on September 16, 1944, she moved out to the Seattle area in 1946, attended Ballard High School and graduated from Shoreline High in 1962. She worked at the Kenmore IGA and various Safeways as a meat wrapper for 24 years.

Marilyn "Mary" Saunders, born February 23, 1934, in Seattle, Washington, passed away peacefully March 16, 2007 at her home in Shorewood. Mary is survived by her son, Charles Saunders and his wife Linda and her daughter Donna Simpson and her husband Tom.

Mary grew up in the Burien/White Center area, where she graduated from Highline High School in 1947.

Died of lung cancer complications at Seattle's Swedish Hospital on Friday, March 16, 2007. Bob's 50-plus years in the maritime industry began in dredging and included vessel conversions, boat building, fish processing, and marine electronics. Bob is survived by wife Jean Elizabeth Morton; daughter Laurie and partner Marcia Cutler; daughter Kelley and husband Steve Hutchison; son Leighton; four grandchildren Jon Bye, Mindy Bye, Heidi Hutchison, and Katie Hutchison; three brothers, three sisters, business partner Bruce Reagan III and close friend Steve Seley.
