Kenneth T. Harris

Kenneth T. Harris was born on December 22, 1942, in Marietta, Oklahoma, and peacefully passed away November 4, 2007, surrounded by family and friends.

Ken graduated from Grossmont High School in La Mesa, Calif., and in December 1961 he joined the U.S. Navy and graduated from the San Diego Naval Training Station. Following in the Navy tradition, Ken served various Navy ships on three NATO cruises, and three terms in Vietnam. In 1976 Ken was assigned his last Navy vessel, the USS Kincaid. He was one of the original crew (Plank Owner) to place the ship in commission.

Patricia Louise

Pennington-Wylie aka "Pidge"

Born Oct. 19, 1965 and left this world Nov. 1, 2007. She was 42-years-old and she lost her life due to liver failure.

Pidge is survived by: her mother; sister Suzan; brother Ralph; and husband Tom Wylie. Aunt of Tisa Fakatoufifita (deceased). Pidge loved and claimed as her chosen child Samantha Camerer.

Pidge affected everyone with her adventurous spirit, she lived life fearlessly.

Erna (Dammann) Kroll

Erna left us peacefully on Sept. 11, at age 95. Born and raised in Ahrensburg Germany, she married Carl H. Kroll in 1934 and then moved to West Seattle. They built their own house here in which they have happily lived together for 73 years.

Over the years they have enjoyed numerous trips to Germany as well as the rest of Western Europe to visit with relatives and childhood friends.

Keith Bugher

Keith was born May 27, 1960 in Port Angeles to Clyde and Helen Bugher. He grew up in Port Angeles and attended Peninsula College and Clover Park College in Tacoma. His vocational and hobby interests were always with cars. He lived in Seattle the past 15 years where he died Oct. 7, 2007.

He was preceded in death by his father and is survived by his mother, Helen Bugher Cahan in Seattle. He will be sorely missed.

Curtis A. Clement

Passed away Nov. 1, 2007 at the age of 65. He was born on Jan. 17, 1942 in Crookston, Minnesota. He grew up in the Yakima Valley, graduated from Naches Valley High School before entering the U.S. Army, which he served in for six years. While serving in Germany he met Margarita, his wife of 43 years.

Curtis retired from The Boeing Company after 32 years then went into business with Margarita at Leisure Books in the West Seattle Junction. He was a member of the VFW.

Helen L. McGinley

Helen left this world on Nov. 1, 2007. She was preceded in death by: her husband John; mother Harriet; father George; sisters Elizabeth, Margaret and Dorothy. She is survived by: her sons Rob, Tom, and Jim; daughter-in-laws Lisa and Holly; grandchildren Bria, Sarah, Kailani, Noelle, Jonathan, Jacob, and Jessica; and sister Georgia.

She was a retired School Teacher, with most of her 30 years of teaching at Madison Middle School, teaching Physical Education. She enjoyed participating and watching all sports, and helping children any way she could.

Joan C. Saintz

Age 74. Passed away November 1, 2007. Beloved mother of Sharon, Clifford, Deborah and Loren. Loving Grandmother to her seven grandchildren; Kevin, Elizabeth, Khallie, Joshua, Nicholas, Emily and Amanda. Preceded in death by her husband, Clifford, in 1997.

Joan was born and raised in Seattle, graduated from Roosevelt High School and enjoyed horseback riding. She met and married Clifford Saintz of Johnstown, Pennsylvania, on September 19, 1952.

Curtis A. Butherus

Passed away suddenly Oct. 31, 2007, at the age of 48. He is survived by his wife, Linda, son Ryan and stepdaughter Samantha; his precious granddaughter Emma; mother Faye and father Arthur; three sisters, Judy (Tom).
