Prellwitz, Jr

George Raymond Prellwitz, Jr., age 44, beloved son, brother and best friend, passed away July 27, 2007, after complications from pneumonia. George was born August 22, 1962, in Renton. He spent most of his life as a floral designer. His biggest dedication was helping others. He is survived by his father and stepmother, George and Charlotte Prellwitz; best friend Darrell and five dogs; brother Michael; sisters Patty, Joyce, Joanne, Diane and Jeanie; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Valerie was born June 10, 1834, in Hoquiam to William and Lillian Sutherland. She graduated from Hoquiam High School, class of 1952. She was married in 1954 to her life love and best friend, William Ditty. She studied journalism at the University of Washington, and had a lifetime love of linguistics easily seen in her passion for crossword puzzles.

Val had a flair for art and was accomplished in metal sculpture.

Born February 7, 1917, in Tacoma, Miriam's generous soul left this earth July 22, 2007. She reluctantly left her husband of nearly 66 years, Richard Stanley, two older sisters, Alison T. Seymour and Ruth Wiesen, two children, Ric Seymour and Lucinda Wingard, both of Gig Harbor, five grandchildren, and two great-granddaughters.

Miriam valued education very highly. She and her sisters earned college degrees during the Depression and went on to successful careers. Mim was a Teacher of the Deaf at Seattle Hearing and Speech Center, working with pre-school children and their families.

Died Friday, July 20, 2007 in Seattle. She was born October 17, 1921 in Letcher, South Dakota. She settled down to raise her family in West Seattle and lived there for 60 years. She was a longtime employee of Sears and retired in 1981.

Preceding her in death were her parents Eugene and Mary Bowman, her brothers Donald and Stuart Bowman, first husband Leon Hansen and second husband Eugene "Bud" O'Brien.

Donna Gail Wilcox Colcolough, 48, of Greenwood, died Tuesday, July 17, 2007, at Self Regional Healthcare.

Born August 6, 1958 in Tacoma, WA, she was the daughter of Ruth Bradley Wilcox of Spartanburg, SC and the late Donald Wilcox and the wife of Theodore "Thad" Edward Colcolough, Jr.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Charles Donald Emery of Spartanburg, SC, a sister, Lynda Ruth Wilcox Marvel, her husband, Gerald, of Federal Way, WA, a brother, William Allen Wilcox of Spartanburg, SC, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Nell M. Wheeler was born September 6, 1917 in Calgary, Alberta. Our beloved Nell went to meet our Lord and her dear husband of 64 years, Al, on July 3, 2007, her 70th wedding anniversary. She passed after a short, and blessedly painless bout of cancer.

Always a naturally talented artist, she went on to develop that talent, and become a successful Northwest artist. She was particularly known for her street scenes of Seattle in the rain. She saw beauty in all of nature, which led her to be an avid gardener.

Mildred Pearl Zeron December 2, 1918 - July 12, 2007 was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Grew up in Teulon, Manitoba and after attending one year of Bible College married beloved husband Earl Zeron in 1941. Long time resident of West Seattle, retired from West Seattle Hospital, and long time member of West Seattle Assembly of God Church. She is survived by her husband of 66 years Earl, daughters Joy Gilbert (Zeron), and Lynda Zeron, 3 grandchildren Jeff Gilbert, Danyelle Silhan (Fives), and Joylene Mandt (Gilbert), 5 great-grandchildren Dylon, Hans, Colin, Ian, and Shea.

Hermina L. "Hermie" Colvin of Ocean Shores, Washington, passed away July 12, 2007 at Grays Harbor Health and Rehabilitation Center in Aberdeen, Washington, at the age of 91. She was born in Leadville, Colorado to parents Frank and Amalia (Mihich) Luzar whom immigrated from Austria. She lived in Leadville for approximately six years and then along with her parents, two older half-brothers and one older half-sister, they moved to Renton, Washington. She resided there until she was married to John Swieski in 1939 and the couple took up residency in West Seattle, Washington.
