Thanks to the North Delridge Neighborhood Council for the following information:
The North Delridge Neighborhood Council, along with the City of Seattle’s Department of Parks and Recreation, will be hosting the 7th Annual Delridge Day Festival on Saturday, August 17th from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Delridge Community Center and Park (at Delridge Way S.W. and S.W. Genesee St.). The park is the neighborhood’s central gathering spot offering activities for all ages.
There are over 10,000 people who live or work within the Delridge Neighborhood. Delridge Day is a time for us all to celebrate our neighborhood and all it has to offer.
Join us for a day full of fun including the second ever Delridge Day Skatepark Skate Competition, a Food Truck Chow Down and Music Stage featuring local bands, as well as a Kids’ Zone and a Vendor Zone full of local businesses, organizations, and artists. Last year, Delridge Day proved to be an overwhelming success with our very first skateboard competition and we’re hoping to make it a record year again in 2013! We had over 2.000 neighbors join us in celebration! We hope you can help us make it another exciting community event as our special guest and come out for some fun with the community and see what the “Delridge Way” is all about.
A portion of the sponsorships and vendor fees is gifted back to the community by providing scholarships for community center classes through the Associated Recreational Council.
