Steven GRZADZIELEWSKI - 2015

Steven Grzadzielewski, 54, lost his battle with metastatic prostate cancer January 2, 2015. Born in Heidelberg, Germany, Steve grew up in Wisconsin and moved to Washington State as a young man.

A resident of West Seattle for the past 30 years, Steve had a generous spirit and was a people-person whose optimism, confidence, and open-minded nature contributed to his entrepreneurial success.

He enjoyed working with local businesses as the publisher of the West Seattle Community Shopper, and was especially proud of Transistor Sister, the family jewelry business he co-founded and managed from its inception in 1985.

Steve loved the outdoors. His hobbies included fishing, white water rafting, and camping on the beaches and in the mountains of his adopted state. He also relished riding his bike at Alki Beach on a glorious day.

His greatest joy was spending time with his daughter, Claire Montgomery, who survives him. Also surviving Steve is his father, Louis; siblings, Michael, Mark, Susan, Andrew and Nancy Grzadzielewski; and many other family, friends, and acquaintances who will miss his infectious smile.

A memorial gathering for friends and family will be held Sunday, February 8, 2015, 2 p.m., at the Alki Beach Bathhouse. A commemorative ceremony will begin at 3 p.m.
