Born in Tacoma, WA July 9, 1931, Eugene Kord died January 6, 2016, surrounded by loving family in West Seattle, WA.

Gene graduated from O’Dea High School (1949), Seattle University (1953), and served in the US Army.
Gene was a loving husband, father and grandfather, as well as a devout Catholic. Known for his strength and quiet demeanor, Gene was also a good listener who always carried himself with nobility.

Predeceased by parents, Leo and Alice (Cowan) Kord, and brother, Richard Kord, Gene is survived by his wife, Virginia Kord; children, Cathy Peda (Jeff), Lori Clark (Chris), Mary Ballanger (Barry), Margie McGillis (Bill) and Mike Kord; 12 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
