Rodney Kaye Shimanek, 53, passed away suddenly June 5, 2016 at Everett, Washington.

Rodney was born March 8, 1963, in Nampa, ID to Sandra Irons and Richard Shimanek. He attended multiple schools in South Seattle, mainly Burien and White Center. Rodney was a ‘tinkerer,’ skilled with his hands. Whether it be as a mechanic, a locksmith, or salvager, he was frequently busy fixing things.
He is survived by a son, Vincent, of MN; parents Sandra and Bruce Irons of Federal Way, and Richard and Jane Shimanek of Arizona; two sisters Stacey Storaasli, husband Randy, from Orting, WA, and Amber Schneider, husband Joel, and many others.

A service of remembrance will be held August 6, 2016, at Steel Lake Park in Federal Way at 12:00 p.m. Interment will be at Riverton Crest Cemetery.
