Irene Stoxen 1915 ~ 2017

Irene Stoxen’s life story ended on February 11, 2017 in Carmichael, CA at 101 and one-half years.  Born in 1915, she married Orville Stoxen in 1938 and moved to Seattle in 1941. They were married 72 years when Orville died in 2009.

Irene will be reunited with Orville when her ashes are scatted with his in Puget Sound. The home they built above Alki Point in West Seattle viewed the Sound and the Olympic Mountains.

They are survived by their daughters Sidney (Ted) Gemlich, Minneapolis, MN/Tucson, AZ and Roma Heerhartz, Sacramento, CA and grandsons Lee Gemlich, Minneapolis, MN and Bret (Malinda, daughter Leia) Gemlich, Hood Canal, WA.
